Who this covers

This policy covers mechanicaldesign.io, operated by LB Mechanical Design. For anything about your data, email info@mechanicaldesign.io.

The contact form

When you use the contact form, the details you enter (name, email address, your message, and optionally company and phone number) are emailed to me via Resend, the email delivery service this site uses. That information is used to reply to you and for no other purpose. Enquiries are kept as normal business correspondence; if you want yours deleted, ask and it will be.

Analytics & cookies

The site uses Google Analytics to understand how it's used, but only if you accept the cookie banner. Until you accept, the analytics script doesn't load and no analytics cookies are set. If you reject, that's the end of it; your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so you aren't asked on every visit, and nothing else is recorded.

If you do accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, and device type, processed by Google on my behalf. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which resets the banner.

What this site doesn't do

No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for marketing.
No advertising or tracking networks.
No newsletters or mailing lists. You'll only hear from me if you contacted me.

Your rights

You can ask what information I hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted at any time via info@mechanicaldesign.io. Data protection law gives you these rights; I'd honour them anyway.
