About
21 years. Electrician to director. Still on the tools.
Bailly started at 16 as an apprentice electrician — wiring, containment, first fix through to commissioning. The work was physical, precise, and unforgiving. You either got it right or you did it again.
From there, the path moved into air conditioning — installation, maintenance, and fault-finding across commercial HVAC systems. Then into engineering, service management, and eventually director and shareholder of an M&E contracting firm.
Along the way: Daikin and Mitsubishi manufacturer training. Data centre mechanical systems. Quantity surveying and tender management. A former member of the Institute of Refrigeration. 21 years of hands-on M&E experience that spans every level from apprentice to boardroom.
LB Mechanical Design is the distillation of that experience — freelance MEP engineering support for contractors and consultancies who need senior-level delivery without the overhead of a full-time hire.
